PURON

Efficient Performance Means Year Round Savings

As you select the home comfort system that is right for you, fuel efficiency is a prime consideration. In both heating and cooling, economical operation means savings season after season.

In making you choice, refer to efficiency ratings to find the equipment that is most economical to operate. In cooling, air conditioners are compared by their SEER numbers. Seer is the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio, and the higher the number, the more efficient the system. For heating, products are compared according to their AFUE, or Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency. Again, the higher the number, the more efficient the system. Efficient electrical usage is also an important consideration in choosing a heating system, with more sophisticated systems providing better energy efficiencies.

Refer to the SEER chart and the Electrical Usage chart to better understand the relationship between these numbers and the efficiency of your home comfort system.

Puron is the Proven Alternative for Comfort and Savings

Puron is the industry-backed, long-term solution for environmentally sound cooling.

Bryant has always been known for comfort, reliability and savings, and the tradition continues with Puron, which was developed to provide cooling without depleting the earth's ozone layer. Puron replaces Freon*-22, which is being substantially phased out of air conditioning systems. Typically, as refrigerant is phased out, the cost increases for servicing products using the older refrigerant.

Puron is the right choice for today and tomorrow.

Puron has received the highest SAFETY rating from the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers. It is chlorine-free, offers higher levels of energy efficiency and helps protect you from the future costs of maintaining a system using Freon-22. All in all, this means worry-free home comfort for you today and tomorrow.

As you can see in our chart, demand will greatly exceed the available supply of those refrigerants which are scheduled for consumption cap reductions.
